We all have our go-to orders at our favorite restaurants — especially chain restaurants.

You can go to any Chipotle, anywhere in the country, and feel confident ordering your usual burrito bowl with hot salsa and extra guacamole. After all, it will taste the same whether you’re here in Northwest Arkansas or somewhere in Oregon. And you already know you love it!

Likewise, you can go to any Chick-fil-A between here and California and experience the same peppermint milkshake this holiday season. They use the same ingredients and processes all over the states. And you already know you love it!

In the mood for a burger? You can hit a Red Robin and order your favorite. That Bleu Ribbon burger is always going to have a mountain of blue cheese for you to devour. And you already know you love it!

Bottom line: when you have a go-to order that you can rely on, the rest of the menu doesn’t matter. It’s convenient — and safe — to request the same meal time and time again.

The thing is, as nice as Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, and Red Robin can be, none of them serve true soul food. And even if you’re dining at a mom-and-pop shop, ordering the same thing repeatedly kind of kills the magic, don’t you think?

So, if you’re craving some amazing soul food that you haven’t tried a million times, I highly recommend checking out Marsouls. It’s easy to miss this little spot in Downtown Rogers, but it’s right on the corner of Highway 12 and 2nd Street.

The owners did a great job converting an old gas station into a fantastic space with an outdoor patio and incredible food. My family loves the deviled eggs with bacon jam, the hot honey chicken wings, and the burgers.

Because everything on the menu is delicious, this is one place I will order anything. I don’t have to feel bad for skipping my favorite dishes because I know that whatever I order will be just as good.

In short, there’s no need for a go-to order at Marsouls. Just bring your daily cravings and enjoy!
